Buffy's Finale

Leanne James sent the following email message regarding her horse Buffy's Finale, purchased through CANTER.

Buffy's Finale (Tempe) never made it to the track, even though he was bred and trained with the high hopes many have.  His heart wasn't in it (good for me) and he was for sale.

He was mine the second I touched him. He was big, beautiful and very polite. When I rode him he was alert, a bit quick, but still manageable. His potiential seemed endless, and too good to be true!

The seller and I worked out a deal and I bought him the end of March.  Now, in August, he is in training to be a Hunter.  I think he will be great in the ring next year.  I didn't buy him with the intent to show him, but he is such a diamond in the rough!  He learns quickly and wants to please.  He is a pleasure to train and he is one of those guys who "just gets it."  He would step to the side to catch me if I came off balance, which I love about him.

In August, we are starting fences, and he loves it!  I think he likes having a new job, and a new life.  I know my life is so much better having him in it.  I really love him and am so very proud of him.  He seems to reciprocate - he is very affectionate and sensitive.

It's funny, when I think about our first meeting - I don't know if I chose him, or if he chose me because, he and I as a team, we just work.  You can see pics of us starting fences at www.storybookfarm.info/tempe.htm

Look for us next season in the show ring!
