Chad's Way
The following email was sent to us by Lori Sherrod, proud new owner of Chad's Way:
I'm probably the only person to write in after only owning a CANTER horse after three days.
But I have to tell you, I was actually looking for a horse for someone else, and after looking at tons of pictures came across ones that I liked. One in particular, for some reason, just absolutely caught my eye! I fell in love at first sight.
I have other TB's off the track, but there was something about this guy. I called and drove six hours the next day, bought him and picked him up the next day.
The owner was honest, and easy to work with, and even met us half way with the trailer so we didn't have to trailer the whole way down.
Chad came home and is the most quiet, easygoing, personable horse I have at the barn. I was planing on giving him a few months off to get use to a new way of life, but he seemed bored -- although he was so happy to be able to be turned out all day. So I decided to see if he could lunge, and ride lightly to keep him busy.
He lunged beautifully, and I decided to get on and see. He was wonderful to ride! Walk, trot, canter on a loose rein, balanced and quiet, and he seemed much happier to lightly work. His mouth is so soft, its like he could hold a china cup in it and not break it.
I love him! Thank you! He is even walking over the poles in the arena by himself when he's turned out! Look for him in the hunter ring next spring! I'll send pictures as he progresses, thanks again!
