My Name Be Beans

My Name Be Beans ("Beanie"), an 8 year old Thoroughbred, was sired by the 1985 Kentucky Derby winner "Spend A Buck" and raised by Glen and Linda Chance.

During his racing career, he won five races at Fairmount Park, including a Stakes Race in 1996.

After retiring last year, "Beanie" began a new career with 11 year old Kira Kiviat.  After just a few months of retraining, he is competing in shows and riding on trails.

At their first away show, a fun show at America's Exposition Park on Saturday, June 23, Kira and "Beanie" took 1st place in 13-and-under English Pleasure, 2nd in Open English Pleasure, and 1st in Open English Equitation.  Kira is currently schooling him over fences and plans to train him for 3-Day-Eventing.

Congratulations on a job well-done, Kira and "Beanie".  Best wishes for the future!
