2003 bay gelding 15.3hh. Cowboy is very loveable and loves to have all the attention. He is being retired because he is starting to have some soreness in his front left knee after racing. This 2004 dark bay gelding is 15.3hh. Lefty is well muscled and dappled and appears larger than he is. He last raced on May 12th and still has the high energy of his racing days. This big beautiful boy underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove chips from both knees in August 2009 and is believed to be sound for everything including jumping, We have just begun working with Lefty so at this time he will need a professional trainer and experienced rider.

This 2003 dark bay/black gelding is 16hh.Bayou is a sweet boy who loves attention. He is very good under saddle and listens to his rider. Bayou had knee surgery at MSU last September and has now fully recovered and is sound for flat work only. We are currently preparing him for light trail riding. He is fine for an intermediate rider as he is easy to work with and very quiet.

This 2001 dark bay / black mare is 15hh. Tiffany had a suspensory injury in 2008 and raced 5-6 times this meet without incident. She was retired because she just wasn't competitive enough. Tiffany loves people and enjoys just walking around the farm. We have begun ground work with her and some riding. She is wonderful on the ground and under saddle. Very easy going, no spook. She is brave and very willing. We believe her to be sound for all disciplines.

UPDATE: 06/22/10 - TIFFANY IS VERY QUIET UNDER SADDLE. SHE IS GREEN BUT SUPER EASY GOING. SHE SHOULD BE SUITABLE FOR AN INTERMEDIATE RIDER WITH A TRAINER. SHE MAY MAKE A WONDERFUL CHILDREN'S HORSE. DOES NOT REQUIRE LUNGING, SHE STANDS TO BE MOUNTED. THERE WAS ANOTHER HORSE IN THE ARENA THAT WAS SPOOKING QUITE A BIT AND TIFFANY WAS NOT STARTLED AT ALL. VERY CONFIDENT LITTLE MARE. SHE FEELS MUCH LARGER THAN SHE IS.

Mollie is a 2004, dark bay/black 15hh mare. She is sound with no prior injuries. Mollie last raced 04/26/2010. She has no stall vices and was in training until she was donated by her owner on 5/6/10. Mollie is new to CANTER and we have just begun evaluating her. She is a very sweet honest little mare that needs some time to get settled and get used to her new life. This 2000, dark bay, gelding is 16.3hh. Jet has a large heart shaped star, no other markings. He last raced on 7/4/2009. He is a mild cribber and does not wear a collar. Jet was ridden thru the winter both English and Western and has been in training as a track pony. He is a big easy going guy.He gets along with other horses and when not racing his job was to baby-sit the weanlings on the farm. In 2006 he had surgery at OSU on his left front condylar, then returned to racing.
We have ridden Jet a few times and he is a nice ride for such a big guy. He is sound for flat work only.
***UPDATE 07/10 -
Jet continues to amaze us with his easygoing personality. He LOVES giving "pony rides" and carefully takes his riders around the indoor arena, watching to make sure they are sitting correctly. Jet needs more than a person to love him . . . he needs a family

Santa Claus Special! Sweet 2006 solid bay gelding stands 16.0hh. Despite early racing speed, Kingsford has been unable to get the job done so he needs a new home with a special person that will give him kisses and peppermints. He’s sturdily built, sound, has no stall vices and “doesn’t do anything wrong” – to illustrate this, the trainer went under him several times and Ace stood there perfectly still like a good boy. Handler said he sometimes snorts – almost like a crib – when he first dives into his food but shouldn't be an issue. Photo was taken 2 hours before Buddy's last race at Beulah and he walked quietly out of the barn and stood still for his photos--a very good boy. Still running okay, but owner has run out of races Buddy is eligible to enter. Owner shipped him to his farm in Oklahoma until he finds a new career for him.
