"Nicki"
PA-T2124-10 "Nicki," 2004 dark bay mare, 15.2+ hands. EVENTER'S DREAM! Tons of POTENTIAL here! We were immediately wowed by this girl - built like a tank, covered in dapples, and full of personality, she definitely commands attention. Nicki has been with her current trainer for five years and has trained off the farm instead of spending most of those years living at the track. Her trainer has even taken her trail riding and tells us Nicki was unfazed by water crossings, trail blazing, and other horses being behind or in front of her. We're told Nicki is a "good-feeling filly" both on the ground and under saddle and would do best with a confident, experienced rider who can direct her energy and athleticism into another sport. We could definitely see this girl excelling in Dressage, Eventing, or even Jumpers. Nicki does have some minor ankle rounding that is very typical of horses coming off the track, and she has a scar on her left front lower leg from when she was a youngster. The scar is purely superficial, and her trainer tells us neither the scar nor the ankles have ever been an issue. Nicki moved out SOUND for us, with a nice length of stride and natural suspension that will translate well to the sporthorse world. Here is video of Nicki on her first ride after several months off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zwg6Ajzho5Q and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U30ntO0Wy70 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7DVXmygKQ8. $1000.
