The Equine Rehabilitation Fund at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine is dedicated to providing rescued horses opportunities for new careers after racing by providing surgeries to restore horses to soundness, which has helped veterinary students and residents learn surgical techniques and gain essential experience. The educational component of this fund has been an invaluable program for future equine veterinarians, while allowing horses to thrive in new careers. To date, over 1,600 horses have benefited from surgical treatment from this fund and through WWW.CANTERUSA.ORG.
