Brought Oil American home last night after a successful pre-purchase exam. I am thrilled to have found such a fantastic horse. His pre-purchase was my SIXTH this year and I could not be any happier with the horse I finally got to bring home! He is going to be retrained as an eventer, with hopes of one day making it to the upper levels!

Derail is doing great on our farm. He's starting to work out of his stiffness a little, but has a ways to go in that department. Otherwise he is an absolute jewel. We are all in love with him. He got a new barn name, Drover. He was so good looking, we decided he needed to be named after Hugh Jackman in Australia. It was only fitting, as he's the new "stud" on the property (we won't tell him he's missing a couple of items).

I found a great website today that had Drover racing! It was so much fun to watch him run although he wasn't successful. It's hard to believe he ever ran at all now. We have to really push him to get him to do anything but walk!

So DeRail (now known as Drover) went to his second foxhunt this weekend. He is awesome. He was a little afraid of the horn on his first time out, but this was his second and he was perfect. He is such a sweet boy, and he's so happy to do anything asked of him. I highly recommend adopting through CANTER!
