The mission of the Thoroughbred Charities of America, Ltd. is to provide a better life for Thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue, and research and by helping people who work with them.
Ninety-five cents of every dollar that is donated to the charity goes back to groups that further their mission. This past year, TCA issued nearly one million dollars in grants!

CANTER Needs Your Help!
CANTER exists solely on donations. CANTER is an all Volunteer organization, so EVERY dollar donated goes to help the thoroughbreds. CANTER Michigan, alone, has taken in over 100 horses in 2007 and dozens more will be coming our way as the racing season ends. Many of these new horses need immediate surgery, foot care, vaccinations, and lots of food.
CANTER Michigan is the ONLY equine rescue to accept ANY thoroughbred off the track, regardless of medical condition. We have never said “NO”… and don’t want to start now.We need your help NOW!!! Every dollar helps. Please send your donations to the address below:
