No-shows hurt the credibility of the program with trainers/owners making them less likely to list horses with us. If something comes up, you change your mind, or you find another horse - PLEASE take a moment to call any trainers you made appointments with and cancel. It only takes a minute, and helps the horses by extending courtesy to trainers/owners willing to work with CANTER.

Keep in mind you are visiting a workplace. Time is taken out of their work day to show you horses, so honesty is paramount. Being up front with trainers/owners about your interest in their horse. Also, to ensure the success of your visit we advise you to call trainers/owners in advance to check on the horse's availability.

Fox – Track Pony – Wonderful 2000 chestnut gelding, about 15 hh with a blaze face. He was ridden out of the barn and around the yard bareback with just a halter. He is a “chase pony” used to catch riderless horses because of his speed and ability to settle down immediately…the perfect profile for reigning horse or any discipline where speed and a calm disposition is needed. He is a registered Thoroughbred, but his papers have been lost so we don’t know his true name. Keeping shoes on him can be a bit challenging, but he is otherwise sound and has no stall vices.
