Hi Nancy, I wanted to send you our success story now that I have pictures.

I bought Gone to Dixie , now called Flight of the Phoenix or Merlin for short, in October of 2004. As a green rider on a green horse, only 2 weeks since his last race, we have overcome the odds and became a great pair.

I began training Merlin for Eventing almost immediately after buying him. Our first summer was a learning experience and our goal was to finish all of our events, which we did. This summer, 2006, we made the move to Novice and had an amzing first half of a year, placing 1st, 2nd, and 2nd on dressage scores in the 30's! Now we are doing Training Level with hopes to move up to Preliminary next summer.

Having Merlin has been an amazing experience for me and I always suggest CANTER horses to others interested in ex-racehorses.
