Kilowatt

Listing Type: CANTER Owned
Description:

Kilowatt "KW" is an unraced 2023 bay gelding by Astern (AUS) out of Killer Partner, by Pioneerofthenile. This handsome boy is a completely fresh start and is looking for the right person to bring him along. While he isn’t the first one to greet you in the barn, he has his playful moments and is well behaved for a young horse.

On the ground - He is good to handle on the ground, stands well for grooming, and can be led to and from the field with ease.

In the pasture/stable - He is currently doing well on solo turnout.

Under saddle - He has not yet been started under saddle, as he is a completely fresh start. KW is eligible for the 2027 Retired Racehorse Project.

Background and physical capability - He came to us rehabbed from a stall injury and is therefore a completely fresh start. Due to wear and tear from the injury, we recommend a low-impact career for KW and think he could impress us with proper maintenance.

Care - KW is barefoot and will require some maintenance for arthritis if chosen for a riding career.

Any medical records and pertinent history are available to interested and approved adopters. CANTER Michigan always recommends a PPE.

While our OTTBs receive some post-race training, all are offered as green prospects and will require an adopter who has experience with retraining off-track Thoroughbreds and/or will be working under the guidance of an experienced professional trainer.
