The Event at Woodside in late May brought an incredible turn out of competitors and spectators, including an extensive list of OTTBs. Many of the participating horses went through CARMA’s placement program, our adoption program, or were found on our trainer listing service!
A huge congratulations is in order for Dan the Man (pictured below; JC: RunfortherosesDan) and James Alliston for winning the CARMA/CANTER California $1,500 High Point Off-Track-Thoroughbred Award at the Woodside Preliminary Challenge last weekend. They were the top finishing OTTB pair in the division.
A special thanks to our award sponsors, the Eggert family, for helping us recognize outstanding OTTBs that have continued on to successful second careers! Congratulations to all 20 OTTBs that competed in the division.
