We got the following awesome updates on Pale Outlaw, now nicknamed Brooks, from his amazing new mom Colleen! We wish these two the best of luck and can’t wait to hear more down the road!
Update #1: Brooks is settling in so well in his new home, and we are just beyond smitten with him. He’s just such a good boy. Totally making friends with his pasture neighbors and they all really like one another. He’s been wonderful on the ground and under tack so that Sean has been able to ride him. He’s cleaning up nicely and all his cuts and wounds are healing well, and he’s getting new shoes next week. We can’t thank you enough for this big silly guy. Everyone just loves him. Here are some pics of him enjoying his new life.

Update #2: Just an update and some pics of Brooks (Pale Outlaw). He’s really settled in so nicely, and loves the horse in the paddock next to him. It’s so cute to see them copying one another and they have this one corner in the back of the paddock where you can sometimes catch them nuzzling one another. Pretty adorable.
We kind of gave him the first few weeks off to just be a horse. He got a much needed trim and new shoes, and has been trying so hard for me with the lunging. We can now complete 5 circles of walk and trot (both directions) without him trying to gallop away or come to the middle cause he has no clue what I want. Ha! We went on our first trail ride through the vineyard and he did fabulous. He really never looked twice at anything, and if you didn’t know better you’d swear he was an old pro.

The best part about him is his personality. He really is so sweet and social and super easygoing. He’s given my fiancé (not a horse person at all) the confidence to groom him and lead him and he’s now even learning to ride. Thank you again for such a great silly guy in Brooks and for all you do for the OTTBS!
