Cinsault "Cin" is a big, handsome, willing and growing OH-bred bay 2021 gelding. Cin is a wonderful prospect for an intermediate to advanced adopter looking for a light flat work/pleasure horse and is sure to turn heads wherever he goes. Cin has had months of professional training at all three gaits and will do best with a patient adopter with the experience to continue his training as he matures into his new career. Cin is well-behaved with good manners who stands quietly for the farrier, vet, and grooming and tacking. Cin is currently turned out with a group of three young Thoroughbreds who enjoy playing with each other and he is happy to be lower in the pecking order. Cin doesn't have any special dietary needs, but as a big, young and growing horse, he needs to be fed enough to sustain his growing body, especially as he continues conditioning and training. Cin will need to wear front shoes and pads to succeed in his new career. Cin was retired as non-competitive with no known injuries after just 12 starts and a race record of 1-0-2, and earnings of $32,843. Cin's last race was on 3/19/2025 at Mahoning Valley Race Course.
Any medical records and pertinent history are available to interested and approved adopters. CANTER Michigan always recommends a PPE.
While our OTTBs receive some post-race training, all are offered as green prospects and will require an adopter who has experience with retraining off-track Thoroughbreds and/or will be working under the guidance of an experienced professional trainer.
