Eloxochitl – SALE PENDING

Listing Type: Owner/Trainer
Description:

Eloxochitl "Cali" is a sweet and friendly 2009 Florida-bred mare who never raced. She will do wonderfully as an all-around horse for someone willing to give her a refresher course. Her name means "magnolia" in Nahuatl, an indigenous language in Mexico.

On the ground - Cali is the perfect lady. She stands for grooming, tacking, as well as the vet and farrier.

In the pasture/stable - Cali is turned out with two other mares and is in the middle of the pecking order. She is easy to catch and will come up to you in the field. Cali is happy to live outside with her pasture mates but is comfortable with being stalled and has no vices or bad habits.

Under saddle - Cali has been primarily trained Western and competed in barrel racing. She could also go English.  With no limitations this flashy mare could go in any direction with the proper training. This girl has some go and is very well behaved and willing. She moves smoothly off of your leg and would be a great project for an intermediate to advanced rider.

Background and physical capability - Cali came to CANTER Michigan in 2020 through one of our adoption partners in Florida with no known injuries or limitations. Her owner is looking to find her a home with a partner who has the time to spend with her to bring out her full potential.

Care - Cali is barefoot with regular trims as she is currently being ridden lightly and has mainly been on pasture. She has no special dietary requirements.

Eloxochitl is an Owner/Trainer listing. Interested adopters are welcome to contact the owner for more information regarding Cali, but should also complete an adoption application: CANTER Michigan Adoption Application
