Law and Milloy "Dora" - is an adorable and growing KY-bred 2-year-old filly who is a promising prospect for an adopter with experience bringing along a green Thoroughbred from start to finish.
On the ground - Dora is doing well for a young filly. Dora is learning ground manners, lunging, and standing for the vet and farrier. She will need an experienced handler/trainer who is confident and comfortable with young, green horses and can continue her education from the ground up.
In the pasture/stable - Dora is familiar with being stabled at night and turnout during the day. She is currently turned out by herself with other horses pastured nearby.
Under saddle - Other than race training, Dora has not been ridden. She needs time to grow and is doing well with her ground training, learning to be respectful of her handlers in all situations.
Background and physical capability - After only two races (where she finished 8th and 9th respectively), Dora was retired as non-competitive. She has no known injuries or limitations and could go in any direction once she has some time to mature. She would be a fun project for a professional/advanced adopter who has experience bringing along a green Thoroughbred.
Care - Dora has no special needs other than the care appropriate to a young, growing Thoroughbred.
Any medical records and pertinent history we have on our horses are available to interested and approved adopters. CANTER Michigan always recommends a PPE.
