Pipers Song - 16h, 2023, dark bay filly

Lovely mare with a sweet personality, a good foundation, and the potential to go in several different directions with the right person. She is currently recovering from a recently bowed tendon (9/27/26), so her new home will need to be understanding of her current limitations and committed to giving her the time and appropriate rehabilitation she needs.

From her trainer:

I purchased Piper as a yearling and started her myself at my farm before putting her into training. My horses receive a solid, well-rounded foundation before going anywhere. Piper has spent plenty of time out on the trails, including riding up and down hills, going through water, and stepping over logs. She knows how to be a horse and has a good foundation to build on.

When she is fit and put together, Piper is a fancy mare with a nice way of going. She knows how to engage from behind and come into the bridle, and I could see her being successful in a number of disciplines. I have a background competing in dressage, eventing, and fox hunting, so she has been given a foundation that lends itself well to dressage or eventing, but I think she could be versatile enough to find her niche in several different homes.

Piper is a very sweet mare who genuinely enjoys attention and being loved on. She is easy to handle and fun to have around. She has no vices, is good in her stall, and does well in a herd. She has been comfortable barefoot, although if she returns to a regular training program, she may prefer front shoes.

Price: $2,500, negotiable to the absolute right home.

Because of her recent tendon injury, finding Piper the right home is much more important than finding her the quickest sale. Her new person will need to stay in contact with me and keep me updated on how she is doing. Piper will always be welcome to come back to me if circumstances change and her new home can no longer keep her.

She is a sweet mare with a lot to offer, and I would love to see her find a knowledgeable, caring home where she can be given the time she needs and eventually continue on to whatever comes next.
