Stickinwithit "Teddy" is an unraced 2024 bay gelding by 2021 Kentucky Derby winner Mandaloun out of Ciomara, by Broken Vow. This handsome boy is a completely fresh start and is looking for the right person to bring him along. Our trainers chose his barn name as a testament to his teddy bear personality!

On the ground - He is good to handle on the ground, stands well for grooming, and can be led to and from the field with ease.

In the pasture/stable - Currently doing well on solo turnout.

Under saddle - He has not yet been started under saddle, as he is a completely fresh start. Teddy is eligible for the 2027 Retired Racehorse Project.

Background and physical capability - Despite his wonderful bloodlines, Teddy was retired as non-competitive at the races. He is still very young and we think the sky's the limit for him once he has some time to mature.

Care - He goes barefoot and requires no special care or maintenance.

Any medical records and pertinent history are available to interested and approved adopters. CANTER Michigan always recommends a PPE.

While our OTTBs receive some post-race training, all are offered as green prospects and will require an adopter who has experience with retraining off-track Thoroughbreds and/or will be working under the guidance of an experienced professional trainer.
