Thoroughbreds at the 2016 Rolex Three-Day Event in Kentucky “proved once again that they are the horses with heart,” reports the Retired Racehorse Project. Fifteen OTTB’s started the competition and all but one finished, an impressive finishing rate. Even more amazing, thoroughbreds over 17 years old showed they could compete right alongside younger horses.
